Recovery from ACL surgery is a lesson in patience and trust. I’m getting stronger every day, and recovery is going well, but it’s been a challenge. Yesterday, I got into a car without using my hands to pull my leg in. That’s a WIN!

I accepted a position at the #Nevada #Seismological Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Reno. I will miss working in #Colorado very much, and especially miss all my friends and colleagues here. But it’s time for a new opportunity! I’m joining the Wolfpack.
I tore my ACL on Valentine’s Day. It’s been a difficult and sad time for me as adjust to a life without many of my favorite hobbies and activities.
But it’s also been a chance to have new experiences I otherwise would have probably missed. Also a good time for me to practice patience and trust.
This injury is VERY common and most people have a full recovery. My outlook is generally good. But it is scary!
I’m always happy to hear about any one’s experiences, tips, tricks, or “hacks”!
A magnitude 7+ #earthquake is not likely in #Colorado but it MIGHT be possible!
