Ein neuer Report des World Inequality Lab entwirft eine Utopie, mit der sich gleichzeitig das Einkommen von 89% der Weltbevölkerung bis 2100 verdopppeln würde und die Erderhitzung auf 2° begrenzen ließe.

Im Kern geht es um Suffizienz. Die Mittel klingen radikal: Halbierung der Arbeitszeit auf eine 2,5-Tage-Woche für Industriejobs und Verdoppplung der Ausgaben für Bildung und Gesundheit. Diese beiden Sektoren erwirtschaften dann den Großteil des BIP.

Today Summer and I watched the sky turn color at both sunrise and sunset.
I appreciate every time I am privileged to witness nature at it's most beautiful.
I love the sights and sounds of our early morning walks.
Even the quiet of the thick fog that blankets the shore most mornings.
We are delighted by the flowers in the wild and at home.
Even though bad news dominates everything I won't deny myself these small moments of joy.
It's not normalizing horrible realities but is just us stealing back some of the joy that was ours to begin with. A reminder of what's good and real and worth fighting for.
