I write about literature at wingbackworkshop.com, and I run with my dog Mabel. I just earned my master's in English, and I'm working on a book about how a guide for anchoresses, who lived alone in cells for life, became one of the most popular books in medieval England.

Posts about #literature, #books, #music, #ActuallyAutistic, and #MastodonFC. I have my posts set to automatically delete after 90 days.

One surefire author scam identification tool is writing (or in my case, translating) a series. I get AI messages asking if I'm the author of Memoirs of a Courtesan Volume 3, because they loved it so much and just want to help get the word out.

This is a real Venn diagram of my interests: footballer Erling Haaland bought a book by Snorri Sturluson printed in 1594 and donated it to a public library in his hometown. And I came across this news in a French magazine. It could only hit more of my interests if there were a dog involved somehow.

We have two logo coverup / modifications available at the ring toss table. Limited supply. They’re free, but a donation to keep this whole thing going would help. (Donate to the printing fund at the merch counter.) #BAONPDX

When I planted this Black Tartarian cherry tree in 2017, it was knee high. This year, it is finally taller than me!

These trees can live 100+ years, so it's taking its sweet (literally, the cherries are very good) time. There's one in Eugene, Oregon, thought to have been planted in 1847.

If you need a post-run cool down that's less than 10 minutes, Adriene's got your back. I've been doing this routine off and on for years.

A reminder that I'm throwing a free book release party tomorrow night in Portland! Two Rivers Books, readings by performers start at 6:30 p.m., and I have sparkly wine from the local wine shop to share (and Martinelli's).

Come celebrate with me! And look at my St Johns neighborhood and say, OMG, this place is so cute! It's like it's own little town up here! And that bridge is amazing.
