I like a good #SigmaRule, a #WriteUp on a #technique I didn’t know of or a fresh #MalwareSample. Oh yeah, and #honeypots. 🍯

The views of my employer does not neccesarily reflect my views.

(The same goes the other way around, but I doubt they care…) 🤷‍♂️

Regarding that WW3 everyone's been talking about...

Did DigiKey lay off a bunch of employees? Now their web site says "Due to high order volume, orders may require up to 4 additional business days to process".

Since this has been going on for some time now, and apparently getting worse, it reminds me of how every company's voicemail says "we are experiencing higher than usual call volumes", when what is really happening is "we are experiencing lower than usual staffing, because management decided to cut costs by laying off employees".

Sam Altman: “We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter.”

Meaning: We stole all your knowledge , writing, and art, and now we’re gonna put a meter on it and sell it back to you. You’re welcome.”

This is an auspicious development - mandating ODF formats for all government generated documents: https://linuxiac.com/germany-mandates-odf-for-public-administration/ - the UK did this, too, quite a long time ago - https://www.gov.uk/government/news/open-document-formats-selected-to-meet-user-needs - like 2014 - but then reversed its decision due to being corrup-... er, I mean due to lobbying.
Germany Mandates ODF for Public Administration in Sovereign Digital Stack

Germany requires Open Document Format in its new sovereign digital framework, standardizing document use across public administrations.

New rule: if your for-profit company is "too big to fail", you get nationalised, not bailed out.
When exactly did we start to think that the point of humans was to be productive, instead of thinking that the point of productivity was to take care of humans?

I've seen a lot of bad laws in my time at EDRi but this one gets first prize for its complete lack of humanity. It is essential that MEPs reject this law when they vote tomorrow.

If you're reading this over your Sunday morning coffee, there is still *just* time to do something:

Say No to Mass Deportations in Europe

Politicians in Brussels are about to vote on a law that could bring ICE-style deportations to Europe. More than 100,000 people are already speaking out - and the pressure is growing. Add your name and make sure we stop this law. Tell them: Vote No!
