FUNDRAISER -

Darkness Visible II – A 10 day performance making workshop by Ron Athey & Collaborators in Athens.

On his Instagram post for the fundraiser, Ron Athey writes:
'I feel strongly we need to create community and develop more live, esoteric and body art, beyond the academy and non profit art institution agendas. Consider getting involved with simple t-shirt purchase or larger contribution'.

SUKA OFF have a fundraiser, to travel to to perform at the International Contemporary Dance Festival in Mexico City in August.

I know their work primarily in performance art, anyone who has seen SUKA OFF during their 30 years history know they are unforgettable, entirely unique, disturbing, exquisite and - extraordinary.

Existing outside the mainstream of institutional support for all this time, at this critical juncture they need the resources to go to Mexico.

I was just thinking about the last artwork that got me really excited and inspired here in Finland.
A powerfully articulate and moving work, attributed to Elokapina, Finland and Restore Wetlands, Sweden, 2024.

Well considered for it's impact, and - for it's ease of removal.
