Been really enjoying learning #Inkscape over the last few days as a replacement to what I used to do in Adobe Illustrator.
Definitely a powerful program for text and vector graphics. Now that I've got my way around it with shortcuts and the like, I won't ever open or pay for Adobe Illustrator again.
It's also ticking the boxes for the type of work I used to do in Adobe Photoshop in regards to graphic design and text layout work for posters and such.

Yet another European journalist getting confused about "Indian summer".
"Indian summer" is an old (and now politically incorrect) phrase to describe the last week of September and first week of October if it is unusually warm.
Summer, of course, runs until around September 21 and "Indian summer" is an extension of warm summer weather into the autumn.

Those in the Netherlands can expect several sunny and pleasant days this week before the official start of the autumn season on Sunday, September 1. Despite the occasional drizzle, the weather should remain mostly dry, with many sunny periods bringing temperatures as high as 28 degrees Celsius.
The production of this video suggests that the Canadian Conservative party thinks that Canadians are fools and easy to con. At least this time they were caught.

The Virtual Starship is now available in the Meta App Lab!
Fantastic news: Meta has approved the Virtual Starship app (and about a month earlier than I was expecting).
Before I release it I am redoing most of the sky boxes to use the latest Hunt and Reffert cluster catalog, the very detailed Edenhofer dust extinction grid, and a new selection of about 1.4 million luminous stars.
Here's the new sky box for the Messier 67 region. It will of course look far more spectacular in VR as an 8K image projected on the entire sky sphere! #astronomy
