#Microsoft sent an email to everyone saying they're listening to people now and they will definitely not pushing AI to everything anymore.
Also Microsoft enabled #github to collect all your "inputs, outputs and associated context to train and improve AI models". This new tickbox is enabled by default, even if you explicitly disabled Copilot before.

How many studies do researchers need to do before the threat of LLMs is taken seriously? This technology *might* have some useful niche applications, but widespread deployment will be a disaster for humanity.
This shit is an existential hazard, and not in the way the AI companies love to talk about. It's not going to take over the world like Skynet, it's a cognitohazard that turns anyone that interacts with it into an idiot.
I used to believe that anyone saying TL;DR was just an asshole, but thanks to modern innovation the invention of llm summaries has automated the being-an-asshole process.
Somebody in a leadership position who uses language models to summarize what their reports tell them, and then send generated replies back is adding zero value to an organization and their dismissal will cost the company nothing.
@thomholwerda The website definitely is located somewhere in the uncanny valley. But looking at the page source it is generated with Hugo.
They probably picked the most boring template they could find.
@Kletskous Tja of je het nu in de zakken van aandelershouders laat lopen of in de reserves, die 7,3 miljard wordt niet besteed aan zorg, ons eigen risico wordt er geen cent lager door, en verpleegkundigen verdienen er geen cent meer door.
Sowieso absurd dat alle instellingen individueel reserves aan moeten houden voor tegenvallers. Als we daar 1 pot voor de hele sector voor zouden maken zouden er tientallen miljarden vrij vallen.
Nu de meeste scholen een "thuis🏡 of in de kluis" beleid hebben voor smartphones 📱, proberen adverteerders met beeldschermen op school alsnog de aandacht 👀 van leerlingen te verkopen €€€.
