Mozilla's killing FakeSpot, only 2 years after acquiring it. While other companies are shoving AI down your throat for things you don't want, Mozilla had a trusted tool they could significantly enhance with better AI, and expand to, oh, I don't know, email scanning, web content scanning, etc.

And just spitballing, charge a subscription fee for advanced scanning functions? From a privacy-forward independent company?

Oh, and Pocket too, just for funsies.

Mozilla is discontinuing Pocket and Fakespot

Reasons cited include changes in the way users consume content on the web and an unsustainable business model.

@tk Congrats!
@k8vsy I'd use Home Assistant to track your activity, and put a "smart" LED lightbulb (I use TP-Link ones) in some convenient location. Have HA change the bulb color, based on your location. I use one to show if the barn door alarm is on or off when I approach.
@DaNanner Yeah. Yikes.
@skry And, with or without a pi-hole, you should make your upstream DNS nextdns.io or its equivalent. It's scary out there.
@w7voa They dropped it to a 7.6. But still, it was felt by my RaspberryShake in California!
Been laying low online. Election season is always messy online, but this time, it's bonkers. Decided to pop in and check on my handful of masto buds today. Good to see folks are still doing well.

Probably a good choice. We listened to it on a road trip, so we only had to take one break.

Before crowbars were invented, crows would drink at home.

The local crowbar was shut down because of all the murders.

Police are still investigating the caws.

@Dashdrum They all like power cords, especially...
