Last week was International Nature Journaling Week and it was so fun. The results are weird, even for me. Which makes it especially fun. Thanks to the organizing team, and the inspiring beings I spent time with: avocado pit, zinnia, potato, spider plant, wind poppy pod, eucalyptus leaf, soil. I have much to learn about making things in a pie.

In this lab, we'll use simple drawing prompts and observational linework to explore natural forms and to evoke vivid vocabulary in our writing. By (literally) drawing out our impressions of natural phenomena, we'll connect with the energy and lyricism of natural subjects.
