I do not want to "take back tech".
I want something new to grow from the needs, utopias and desires that a community focused on a convivial life develops.
"Tech" as a social structure might not be salvageable.

I really don't care if your slop machine runs locally. The technology is still built on utter disrespect for humans, their dignity, their environment, and their privacy. Running it on your hardware doesn't make it ethical!

@maxleibman 100%! UBI and 4 day weeks etc are social decisions; they don't need a particular technology.
AI is at best a product for making investors and billionaires richer. These folk are NOT interested in paying you NOT to work.
At worst, AI is a political device aiding the dismantling of democracy and state; again quite counter to notions of UBI.
