Italy, falling short to England by 30, but putting one hell of a fight. Amazing world cup debut

I also learnt that the world cup commentary is happening in Japanese and Portuguese....had no idea cricket was booming in Japan and Brazil 🤯

The associate teams have really come out to play & narrowing the gap with the established teams.

Nepal falling short by 4 to England
Netherlands short by 4 to Pakistan
USA short by 30 to India
Scotland becoming the first assoc nation to score over 200 runs in a T20 World Cup

update - Windows, Linux and MacOS are working fine with the Caldigit TS4. DisplayPort issues that I was seeing with Linux went away after running fwupdmgr, though I wish I could tell what I did exactly to get it working.
waking the pc up from sleep causes the dp to only see 60hz on the monitor connected from the dock. Replugging the DisplayPort sets everything back properly
After a lot of scientific unplugging/plugging back in, rebooting and authorization, the USB4 port on a Beelink does output video via the caldigit TS4s DisplayPort. You can get a dual display setup using the HDMI port on the beelink and the DisplayPort on the dock

It was always so cool to see @MishaalRahman who was from my neck of the woods - Sugar Land, TX - dominate the tech news esp in Android. Will miss his deep dives in to the source code, wishing you the best of luck for the future.

@rmondello heyo, had a apple & passkey question (apologies if this is not the preferred way) - I have a mix setup consisting of a pixel phone, macbook air and fedora desktop :)

I manage passkeys via bitwarden and wanted to add one for my apple account. Seems like there isnt a way to do that via online and I can only do it using a hardware key on my macbook ? Is that correct or Ive missed something super obvious

Clearly we have some momentum so I have recruited two additional volunteers contributing to the matching pool: @amethyst is kicking in an additional $1000 to the match and @petrillic is adding $5000. The total contributed still stands at $3973.40 but that is now only 36.1% of the pledged match, so keep 'em coming! (We will all be contributing proportionally but given that it seems we will max out within a day or so, this is arguably a moot point!)

In light of the PSF's recent loss of an NSF grant and attendant funding shortfall, I will be matching donations up to $5000. Send me your receipts.

Very happy if you've already donated for similar reasons but the point is to motivate *new* donations so be sure the timestamp is after this toot 😉.
