Engineer in industrial cybersecurity by day. Interests include Unix, security, cryptography. I know enough about sand to not let it do the thinking for me.

Non-technical interests are climbing, watchmaking, records, beer, and whisky. Oh, and MTG.

Will toot terrible puns in either English or French.

For real? This setting gear is the bridge between the keyless works and the motion works. It's always, always installed after the train of wheels. But not here, no. On this cheap, fragile and disappointing movement, it sits on a piece of plastic that must be installed first.

I have to redo the train from the beginning, which is beyond finicky to set right. Lord help me.

This was a non-runner BTW, and I got it to tick.
