Some people don’t care for the “proggier” #Opeth albums.

I am not one of those people. While albums like Blackwater Park and Ghost Reveries are still my favorites, they’re all good including this one. This version is in Swedish which works for a guy like me that tends to not particularly notice lyrics…but you can get it in English too.

One of these things is not like the other…😅

I also reduced my dev time by 15%. With #XTOL I didn’t really have to worry about that switching to rotation, but #HC110 seems a lot more sensitive to it based on the other negs I’ve scanned so far being super dense. It looks to me like I could have reduced it further - but it’s hard to tell given these were shots of dark mountains and bright skies. The two shots where it appears I clearly metered on the mountains look the best so far, but I am still looking forward to seeing how these scan.

#Elder is one of my absolute favorite bands, and Lore is one of my favorite albums of theirs…it’s raw and heavy. Not as raw and heavy as their first, but more raw and heavy than their most recent…but all of their stuff is choice. It’s also the first album of theirs I was exposed to, so there may be some nostalgia involved.

I had the luxury of seeing them live a few years ago with my best friend. I’m at an age where I wore “audiophile earplugs” which honestly performed excellently, I will wear them again. I hope to see this band again. A new album is coming out in just a few months!
