"Paying for search changes the whole relationship between user, provider, search, and advertisers (the latter now being completely absent). It changes whom the provider is beholden to, their priorities, and ultimately search itself."

Why You Should Give Kagi A Try | Optional

@Dubikan Thanks for reporting this! Romanization for Hebrew has been improved, and the localization is also live so feel free to take this for another spin and hopefully you'll notice the positive changes.
Just subscribed to a plan from #Kagi @kagihq. Wow, I forgot how satisfying searching for something on the web can be when you don’t get AI or (AI-written) content farms pushed into your search results. You can configure almost everything about your search experience, including modifying the ranking to prefer sites that have high-quality human-written content.

Just some of the reasons why people love using and supporting the Orion browser.

When @arstechnica says it's good, and @pluralistic says it's good. I believe it's good. @kagihq has been a life changer and a productivity force multiplier, and I'm not indulging in my usual hyperbole :)

Enough is enough—I dumped Google’s worsening search for Kagi

Enough is enough: I’ve jettisoned Google in favor of a search engine that doesn’t treat me like a product.

@PossiblyAxolotl @Joseph_of_Earth Totally fine! And we really encourage you to work on that idea, once you have something up and running we'd be more than happy to amplify it. 💛

We're honored to join the Shibuya Startups accelerator program in Japan! 🇯🇵

Japan has already become our #2 traffic source through organic growth, thanks largely to Kagi Translate, and we see tremendous potential to deepen our presence there.

Being part of this program opens doors to bring Kagi directly to Shibuya's libraries and schools.

To the Shibuya Startups community and fellow founders: thank you for welcoming us. Excited to build and grow alongside you. https://upshibuya.com/en/

@PossiblyAxolotl @Joseph_of_Earth For clarity, we didn't say to use Kagi instead, we were just pointing out the existence of the Small Web project, which is open source and totally free: https://kagi.com/smallweb
