Interesting that the Google camera app phones home when I open it. Adding that to a block list.

There's a constant stream of new features landing in Tailscale, and I'll be talking about the big ones soon! What I really enjoy is seeing the smaller changes that change our workflow slightly, making things just a little easier.

Alex C. recently landed a small (sized), big (impact) change for my own quality of life (and probably others as well) - You can now see the expiry time in the Admin Console if someone is using the Just In Time engine for a custom attribute.

If you hover over the "1 hour from now" you get the exact timestamp. Great to test my automation workflows.

We're going to have a big event to celebrate the big changes - but I like calling out the details sometimes too.

Today's gizmo.

3D printed a foot for my phone/camera mount. The geometry is such that in one direction it fits my spare monitor mount, in the other direction it fits my tripod.

Puttering, trying new things. Spent a half hour trying to figure out what I had done wrong just to find out was a bad USB cable.

Who ships "charging only" USBC cords? :shakes fist:

But I got to the "hello world" stage of fiddling with esp32 pretty quickly

The new tree had a flaky connection on the lights. But I did it, I saved Christmas with some crimp on disconnects!
