The Napier Nomad is a thing of utter wonder, so it was a pleasant surprise to just bump into one yesterday.

I rode to the highest point in the city this morning. Nice view north over the city and to the hills beyond [1].

Of course, it would’ve been nicer without the rain. The forecast was for it to be dry all day, but weather forecasting is hard, apparently.

[1] Technically, this photo isn’t from the highest point. That’s a few hundred metres west of this spot, but there are trees there that spoil the view.

Well, this wasn’t on my household maintenance bingo card for today. Bummer.

Then again, I’ve had them for over 25 years, so they’ve had a good run. And with epoxy, and some luck, they might still have a few years left in them.

Well, this arrived a few months back, and now that I’m back from my travels in Sep and Oct, it’s time to find a place for it on the shelf.
Saw this while waiting for my lunch date today, and it pretty accurately summarises my position.

Hey @acf , I have the opposite of your usual problem, where all my parking spaces are filled up with giant electric vehicles.

*grumble*

I’ve ridden past the Cessnock subway station a bunch of times recently, and only today did I notice the fancy ironwork.

On a quick trip to Edinburgh to have lunch with a friend, I took the opportunity to pay homage to Scotland’s greatest:

• Physicist ✓

• Scientist ✓

• Person ???

This is becoming a trend…
