Guessing this is some sort of Cerambycid, though the antenna seem a little short? I don't recall ever seeing one of these before. I guess it wants to be frens. Location: Southern Humboldt County, CA; mixed hardwood/oak savanna/riparian area.

Does anyone know if there have been any changes to #iNaturalist plans to get in bed with Google AI? I'm boycotting them unless they roll that back. Otherwise I would check there for this critter's ID.

TIL that typewriters of a certain age don’t have a “1/!” key.

Because 1 is just a lower case L in a serif font and ! is period > backspace > apostrophe. Maybe this is why we weren’t quite so enthusiastic as a society back in the day? Cuz it took 3 keystrokes to type a single “!”?
