I am so tired of Swift Playgrounds tricking me into using them and then not working. #iosdev
Also: Here are our examples. Never mind that they're full of type errors. (At least they use #TypeScript.)

Had a pretty nice weekend with some personal projects, reading and some ttrpg map sketching. Yesterday I did a dive into Mastodon’s source code.

I had an issue with local development due to some devcontainer path issues that I managed sort out.

All in all a pretty decent weekend.

How was your weekend? Any tips for hosting a Mastodon fork for you and a few friends?

Second, threads posted by me and a few members of the Threads team will be available on other fediverse platforms like Mastodon starting this week. This test is a small but meaningful step towards making Threads interoperable with other apps using ActivityPub – we’re committed to doing this so that people can find community and engage with the content most relevant to them, no matter what app they use.

#ActivityPub being adopted across major platforms is a huge win for the internet. Widespread adoption means you can choose where you want to be. I for one welcome this federation, and believe we’re seeing a movement that could change things for the better.

Like it or not, for that to happen it needs to involve big players.

Twentyfour.days - What strategies do you use to mentor developers?

Twentyfour.day is the Corporate Software Engineering version of a beer advent calendar.

I learn via building things. Admittedly, I don't build toy software quite as much as I've used to, but I do still like to to learn new things via doing. This project is a brief intro to Astro on its own.
