In Menzenberg, dwarves used to cook flour soup of the farmhands and maids early in the morning, which was their signal to get up.
One farmhand was so upset by this that he scattered peas in the hopes that the dwarves would break their necks.
Out of revenge, the dwarves cooked him.

It's #WerewolfWednesday, and I have a story I really wanna share:
In 1691 an 80-something Livonian man named Old Thiess was called to court as a witness in a theft case. As he was sworn in, another witness laughed: "How can he swear a holy oath when everyone knows he is a werewolf?"
The judges immediately forgot about the thief and put Old Thiess on trial. He calmly admitted that yes, indeed he was a werewolf.

I have almost 150,000 followers on Twitter. About 1/10th of that on Mastadon, yet Mastadon is often getting superior engagement for the same ideas.
I think more people need to know this is a place worth investing time in.
Elon Musk bought Twitter for the network effect. We know that.
Twitter’s actual technology is unimpressive, and the reason Mastodon is able to actually be a viable alternative is because it actually reached feature parity in *most* of the ways that matter.
But a network effect is only important insofar as people desire to use the tech.
We all admire Amsterdam for having the vision to replace car infrastructure with bike infrastructure. We see the positive uplift in small business activity, and livability. 🙂👍🏿
Now imagine doing that in reverse. Replace relatively safely walkable and bikeable infrastructure with car infrastructure. In fact, put in freeways. Demolish entire thriving wealthy neighborhoods with freeways that don't serve the neighborhood.🙃
That's what we did to Black folk. That's how we destroyed Black wealth.
Why do white Americans learn about the dozens of wealthy Black towns that were destroyed by racism, from:
* Fictional TV shows made by HBO
* Black women comedians (Amber Ruffin)
* Random Black dudes that post on the internet 🙋🏿♂️
Instead of from their history text books?
Again folks will ask "Why was I not taught this in school?" And again, I will say, "You know why." Look at what DeSantis is doing. Look at what the Texas Board of Education has always done.
This is the Forbidden Knowledge(tm)! 🤫
