Do you ever feel like your mind is a little "monster" that you just can't tame? I've found that by sitting and meditating every day, and doing yoga every Monday, I've learned to make peace with my mind.

As an illustrator who does 8-bit art, I find something very meditative about placing each pixel one at a time.

Rewatching Breaking Bad and you know shit’s bad when Hank Schrader thinks you’re overstepping your authority… #AbolishICE
Ms. Pac-Man was one of the 30 classic video game characters I included in my pixel art piece "We Are All Luigi", a commentary on public perception of what it means to be a hero in the current political climate. #pixelart #WeAreAllLuigi #AbolishICE #HealthcareReform

Today's 8-bit libation is the "Donkey Punch", a pixel art cocktail inspired by the classic Donkey Kong. One of the many concoctions I dreamed up during the pandemic, when all the bars were shut down…

It’s a good example of how pixel art can carry a lot of narrative, remain accessible, and make important messages feel engaging instead of instructional!

Each vignette contrasted a destructive option with a constructive one, reinforcing the idea that young people have agency, without being overly preachy.
The pixel art campaign was deployed across bus stops, trains, and transit hubs throughout Edmonton, garnering an estimated 70 million impressions… and connected young people with the online resources that would help them make better decisions.

This was a pixel art campaign that I created for the City of Edmonton as part of their Building Safer Cities initiative.
The goal was to take a pretty boring government safety message and turn it into something young people would actually want to engage with.
The solution I came up with was a giant, pixel art video game-inspired maze, where every path represented a different choice.

Proud to have the pixel art I created for @Hasbro Marvel Legends packaging included in Mendola Artists' "Best of 2025" for Toys & Games.
This was a dream project for a pixel artist like me, having grown up playing the X-Men arcade game!

Can't believe it's been a year since we lost David Lynch. I created this pixel art portrait of him the day he died, as he was a huge inspiration to me in so many ways. What's your favorite Lynch film?
