Thanks to @progrium I have now unlocked the ability to write a filesystem about as easily as I can write a web server. It took a lot of effort to get here but boy oh boy was it worth it.

I am actually sort of delighted to see that the right hasn’t yet learned what is common knowledge in the Silicon Valley: Elon’s skill is in taking over established organizations and bending them to his will.
