I love, love, love Lwaxana Troi so I'm delighted to inform you that this week we're discussing The Forsaken (#StarTrek DS9 S1 E17)

Listen here: https://buff.ly/3BAiLWl

Thanks to Rugger for the recommendation: "In all of Trek, there is no more emotionally raw, powerful, and moving scene than in The Forsaken. Odo and Lwaxwana are stuck in the elevator, and Odo has to revert into his natural liquid state—and he has to trust Lwaxana to do it.

Listener Tonks recommended "Stormy Weather" (#StarTrek Discovery, 2021) https://buff.ly/3N2XPtA

One of many "void episodes", it's an engaging story about good leadership, excellent teamwork, exploring oneself and dealing with new experiences. Absolutely delightful!

Stormy Weather first aired on December 23, 2021, written by Anne Cofell Saunders & Brandon Schultz, and directed by Jonathan Frakes

Ahoy, fellow Hotboxers! https://buff.ly/3ZFn2Se

Joy of Trek listener Kaleb recommended "The Alternative Factor" from #StarTrek TOS (1967), a rare ep where William Shatner is out-hammed, who specifically pointed out Lieutenant Charline Masters as a highlight of this oft-overlooked story.

Thanks Kaleb!

Guess which episode we're discussing on the podcast today, go on, GUESS

https://buff.ly/3Zs7DEU

Thanks to Alex for the recommendation, who has a soft spot for this episode. It's a wonderfully bonkers off the wall concept pulled off in a fun way. Flying viruses as big as you head? Why not? Trek's done crazier. And plus it features Janeway going full Ellen Ripley. What's not to love?

Couldn't agree more!
