I guess coming from SaaS UX design is refreshing to put more life into things using sound.

I've been busy all week reworking the skill milestones into skill trees. This design will give the player more meaningful choices while leveling up their character.

Just released the v0.13.1 "Of Forts & Ruins" for Tales of Kathay Open Alpha!
This update focus on in creating more interesting proper dungeons, while following the principles of history simulation: large cities spawn Forts around their cities, which eventually become abandoned. Then, different enemy faction take over these forts, turning them into the dungeons.

📣 Open Alpha v0.12.0 "Of Traits & Tales" released
In this update I’m adding a new system to the game, called Traits. All characters spawn with randomized traits that gives them bonuses or penalties, making each character more unique. In total, 12 traits were added.
I’ve also polished the player experience around the actual game, like creating a new Crate World screen, character selection and death screen.
