Two El Al planes report in-flight communication hijack attempt over Somalia

Two El Al flights from Thailand to Israel faced attempts by "hostile elements" to hijack their communication systems over the Middle East, aiming to alter their flight paths. The pilots averted the attempts by using alternative communication channels, amidst speculations of the perpetrators being either Iranian-backed Houthis or a group from Somaliland. El Al noted that the disturbances affected multiple flights over Somalia, not just theirs.
