Just how big is Meta's gargantuan Hyperion data center site?

We built an interactive map that lets you teleport the nearly 5-mile-long, 1-mile-wide Hyperion tract to some recognizable spots, like Manhattan, Washington DC, London, or even your own address.

Apple is fifteen years into a project to design its own chips for key functions of its products. While competitors are just getting started making their own chips, Apple’s steady progress releasing new chips like clockwork gives it a key strategic advantage.

Systems-on-a-chip, wireless networking, cellular modems...the list keeps growing. Cameras are one of the last categories it hasn’t tackled yet.

Many chatbots show citations with links in responses, but it sends a fraction of the traffic that search engine results did (and that was already in decline).
Cloudflare is proposing ā€œpay per crawlā€ which lets publishers block, allow or charge AI bots for for access.

If you spend a lot of time listening to tech CEOs, it seems like everyone is using AI for everything all the time.

But a new Pew survey shows that a lot of Americans only use AI every once and a while.

And a third of people said they had never used a chatbot at all!

AI experts think everyone uses AI all the time. We don’t.

A new Pew Research survey sheds some light on how Americans think about AI.

When it comes to electricity, the US and Canada are deeply connected partners, and have always been there to help each other during times of need.

That is until this week.

I dive into the data to explain the complicated power dynamics of this strained relationship.

NEW on @Beautifulpublicdata For decades, the public suspected that the US Government was hiding secret intelligence about UFOs — (now known as UAPs). Turns out…it kind of was.

Beautiful Public Data

Back in November I pulled some data on what the US imports from Canada and Mexico. It's a lot. Also built a handy lookup tool to dig through the full data. Source: United States International Trade Commission.
