I am continually impressed by “the young people of today”, despite whatever discourse has to say against them and their avos on toast and oat milk lattes and etc.
Two lovely kids at WH Smith’s in Newcastle couldn’t sell me a paper as it was gone 19:30 (?!) so they found me a book. Their first choice (Abroad in Japan) I’d already read so they picked me some silly airport thriller.
It’s daft as shit but exactly what a drunk dad on a 4 hour train ride needs. The kids are _alright_.
