🚌 I cannot believe that in 2026 there is no direct bus service from Galway to Shannon Airport. The 1h15m X51 Expressway service ceased before winter of 2025 and has not returned. To DUB (212 km), it takes 2h30m. To SNN (94 km), it takes 1h44m, if you're lucky with the 10 intermediary stops. If you don't want the hassle of driving (1h05m), or your travel policy frowns upon not using public transport, you're pushed towards a flight from DUB instead of SNN, even though it is 125% further away. 😳

3️⃣ The 3rd version of Léarscáil Teic na Gaillimhe - Galway Tech Map from TechInnovate - AgInnovate, University of Galway was launched in the PorterShed yesterday, showing strong growth in Galway's ICT sector (primarily software/computing and hardware/electronics), and compiled in collaboration with local stakeholders. In total, there are over 200 ICT companies in or around Galway City that feature on this new map. You can download it using the links below.
