It's great residents are using Road Watch, with 1100 reports in 2025. Less great is the driving. Mavis was the most reported street. The quieter, Whitehorn, also made the list. Let's do better!

I am convinced that the level of engagement we have had through this budget process, going all the way back to the summer, has made a real difference in what the final budget will be this year.

My genuine appreciation to everyone who has written, called or attended a meeting. I have made fair taxes a top priority of mine during my time on Council. Thank you for helping me in that effort this year.

It was great to see just under 100 people come out last night to our Budget 2026 meeting. I was impressed by residents understanding of the issues, their sincere questions and their thoughtful comments. I remember attending a budget meeting around 2019 where there were two of us in the audience.

Nine schools in Ward 6 have kids who haven't always gotten nutritious meals. The YMCA Student Nutrition Program helps, but they need help with 5 of the schools. For as little as $500, we can ensure a nearby school has no child go hungry. One in four households struggle with food insecurity, and the Y has recognised this and taken action. Their program has helped 50,000 students in Peel so far.
