Pippin story #9. She is very missed.

Age: 10 months

In 2008, I witnessed Pippin’s greatest zoomie.

She ran up a ramp we built her to the top of a 9-foot bookcase and jumped off, belly-flopping to the couch below.

Three straight times, never stopping. She was a flash of fur and chaos.

I was on the phone with my wife trying to explain it. My iPod didn’t have a camera, but it did have a rudimentary drawing app which I used to send a “reenactment”. (See alt-text for explanation)

Last week we brought this fellow into our home, almost 3 month-old Jago, from the Cville SPCA shelter. Filled with energy and wonder, contrasted with frequent naps, he’s proving an orange ball of joy. He’s isolated in the guest room; his older sisters are warily interested in his presence.
