An #EconomicDemocracy is a market economy where most firms are structured as #WorkerCoops.

@AlexanderKingsbury @cy Anti-capitalists have ample historical justification and tradition for using the term, "capitalism," the way they do. The idea that capitalism is completely unregulated markets is a definition used in the right libertarian community, but there is no reason to interpret the word capitalism in that sense outside of such a context.
I haven't even made any claims that could be false! I'm just saying when every single anti-capitalist you meet is dishonest, and disrespectful, you might want to consider that you might be reading things wrong, or have biases that cloud your judgement.

@ShITVoid @bookstodon Joseph Stiglitz's advisor at the world bank, David Ellerman, also has some great #books. He argues for workplace democracy in them.

@ArthurI I've cited your consequentialist judgement paradox to utilitarians I've come across and they generally say that the judging agent can just lie to avoid the bad consequences the trickster element will create.

The Cappies aren't doing a communist plot lmao.

The cappies aren't destroying education to do socialism. They're doing it to prepare us to live under fascism.

The most educated people I know are disproportionately left wing.

There is danger in speaking so generally about "liberalism," a danger that has often plagued feminist debates. "Liberalism" is not a single position but a family of positions; Kantian liberalism is profoundly different from classical Utilitarian liberalism, and both of these from the Utilitarianism currently dominant in neoclassical economics.

Labor is responsible for all results of production (positive and negative).
