I launch a Jupyter Notebook to run some queries on my AWS CUR data with PyAthena fairly regularly. I'm always astounded by how fast they've made querying millions of records in an S3 bucket. It blows my mind every time.
I have three large APC Smart UPS boxes in my office. They’re all in need of replacement after several years of service. It kills me to put them into the e-waste pile, but I also don’t want to buy new lead acid batteries. Seems like LiFePO4 should be mature enough now for UPS use, but I’m not seeing them from manufacturers I trust.
It’s fortunate that our extensive aviation expertise gives us the ability to fight the fires caused in part by our extensive aviation use.
