He's not changing direction.

We need to be able to tell the difference between PR strategy and reality.

As long as Miller, Vance, Noem, Vought are in this administration (and all of their little friends, too), and weirdo unfucked fash billionaires are still pouring money into their pockets to turn this world into a dystopic hellscape, they aren't changing direction.

They do not fucking care how many nice white people they shoot in the back or face. (I actually would not be surprised if the next nice white person they murder is a faith leader. Because it makes them look *hard* to their Nazi and Christo Fash base.)

They aren't going to change direction unless they are *forced*. And that force will need to be mighty and merciless.

I know we are all looking for signs that things are going to ease up.

This ain't that.

It's crazy how sticky social media sites are. I mean, yes, people always talk about network effects of where all your friends are located are where you are likely to be located.

But I'm not aware of another time where one social media site lit themselves on racist fire like X has and it still retains people who are not just there for the politics.

The lesson is that large sites are almost impossible to switch away from, once you check in you almost can never check out.

The uncertainty over federal Medicaid funding appears to have claimed its first victim in Nebraska.

Community Hospital in McCook announced Wednesday that it will close Curtis Medical Center in Curtis,
winding down its services over the next several months.

"Unfortunately, the current financial environment,
👉driven by anticipated federal budget cuts to Medicaid,
has made it impossible for us to continue operating all of our services,
many of which have faced significant financial challenges for years,"
Troy Bruntz, President and CEO of Community Hospital, said in a news release.
