Apple discontinues the Mac Pro with no plans for future hardware - 9to5Mac

It’s the end of an era: Apple has confirmed to 9to5Mac that the Mac Pro is being discontinued. It has...

@jimmyjamesuk it also seems odd because one of the tests, LoadLine 2, is explicitly only designed for Chrome and runs on real pages with tons of ads.

Here are the individual Blender 5.1.0 scores with each subtest score listed for the M5 Max and the 5090 Laptop. Monster is the simplest test and Classroom the most complex. We can see the M5 Max does better in more complex scenes. Boding well for real life work.
I’m really glad that operating systems and browsers come with free, first-class password/credential management software. Although I myself have been a very happy user of paid credential management software in the past, this is software that most people shouldn’t have to pay for.

Some of the takes here are so divorced from reason that they belong on Reddit. It’s missing a category for pundits. They would deserve a “1”.

@rosyna After seeing this test showing Linux and WSL2 getting much faster results than macOS, I remembered you discussing Force Unit Access and some Linux/Windows SSDs not actually flushing data to disk. Do you think that could be the culprit here? https://x.com/nullvoxpopuli/status/1974841680558780745
