I left Toyota Group two weeks ago 😅
My (non-Toyota) car does the same FWIW, it'll resume play of what my phone was last playing (say, in the house). It's kinda nice IMO, I'm guessing it's a conscious choice.
The best way to get this type of (non-bug) feedback in is through the dealer, the feedback makes it back to TCNA who design this interface. I know who is ultimately responsible, but I'm not sure contacting them is the best approach here.
