How important is the fun in the writing process itself compared to the end result to you?

This Monday I will start developing a project called Half Quill. The goal: Turning creative writing into a daily habit where strangers build stories together, writing is play, every word is human, and any skill level is welcome. Think Duolingo meets Dungeons & Dragons.

To build it right, I need your help. I want this place to feel like a playground rather than a productivity tool, and to get there I need to know what makes everyone tick.
