For the first time in 13 years, the ice road connecting Kihnu to the Estonian mainland was officially opened. The ferry had been stranded by heavy ice and record-low water levels, leaving the island’s residents cut off. Locals began crossing on their own before authorities acted.

The delay sparked public debate: for Kihnu people, crossing the frozen Gulf of Riga is not an emergency measure only, it's intangible cultural heritage.

🇬🇱 ETM (formerly Greenland Minerals) is reviving the #Kvanefjeld rare‑earth project despite the 2021 referendum that rejected it. The company has cut Chinese partner Shenghe's "top‑up" rights and hired US advisors to steer policy, regulatory and investor outreach in Washington.

A shift from Chinese collaboration to a US‑focused financing strategy... All while the Trump administration just threatened to seize Greenland. 🤔

Jeter des fûts de déchets nucléaires à la mer est désormais interdit. Mais les rejeter via un tuyau, non... Au large du Cotentin, un pipeline long de 4 km s'enfonce sous la mer pour déverser, en toute légalité, un cocktail de matière radioactive provenant de l'usine de la Hague. Le Rainbow Warrior était sur place vendredi pour dénoncer cette pollution.
