Dear @jetbrains

I never want to change how I write high quality commit messages according to common Git idioms. Yet I have to configure the Git Commit editor on every single project I work in with IntelliJ, et al.

e.g. https://cbea.ms/git-commit/

And in every project, I have to manually select "wrap line at margin". It is very frustrating.

If this bothers you as well, here's a Jetbrains bug you can vote for.

https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IJPL-73143/Add-an-option-to-make-settings-in-File-Settings-Version-Control-Commit-default-for-all-projects

Thank you for listening. #jetbrains

The tracing tool, Jaeger, does a delightful thing.

If you're looking at the list of traces, you get one favicon.

But, when you click into a trace, you get a different favicon. The mascot with a symbol like a puzzle piece next to it. And the same trace will use the same symbol.

So it's easy to tell if a browser tab contains a list or detail view. And it's easy to see, at a glance, how many distinct traces you have open, or if you have the same trace open.
