#ArtFelt goes live in about an hour! – 8PM ET on Mixcloud – https://www.mixcloud.com/live/artfeltlive – or ACB Media 4 – https://www.acbmedia.org/4
Good evening, everyone! It is good to be ready to go live on this evening of such a beautiful, sunny day! I’ll bring you my usual mix of tunes from my library and live performing, but I also want to give you a taste of my first harp circle experience on May 31. It was a blast! I hope you can join me. See you there!
Exciting things are on the horizon at BITS!
Our members are hard at work developing a growing collection of software and applications designed to empower users, creators, and accessibility advocates alike.
Coming soon:
• Quill, a robust and accessible text editor designed with productivity in mind.
• Chapter Forge, an MP3 editor and chapter creation tool to help users organize and enhance audio content.
• Glow, an application designed to help ensure documents meet accessibility standards and best practices.
Several of these apps are being developed as open-source software, creating opportunities for users and developers to contribute ideas, testing, documentation, and code.
These projects reflect one of BITS' core strengths: technology created by blind and low-vision innovators and improved through collaboration. The goal is not simply to build tools for our members, but to create resources that can benefit the wider accessibility community.
We're excited to share more as these projects continue to grow and evolve.
