Showcasing the natural beauty of our planet

I typically avoid the use of generative AI & artificial object/sky replacement in my photography, with the exception of dust spot removal.
Prints are sold locally in East TN, however I’m happy to ship via PayPal G&S.

#ThrowbackThursday to the image I sprained my ankle for.

I wanted to capture the sunset from the peak - I had a suspicion that the sky would light up for #Sunset and match the #Mountain flowers. On my descent I stepped funny, bending my ankle and reinjuring my recently sprained ankle again! I then hiked 8km solo in the dark down to camp, I didn't make it back till midnight. Hiking out the final 9km of trail the following morning was very hard!

Light, rain, ancient pines, mountains, snow dusted peaks... Scotland at its finest.

Sky, land, and water merges in monochrome.

These were from the very last sunset I captured in #fall of 2024 in the #Appalachians

We had the archetype of #tennessee weather, with rain falling as sun rays were still bursting through the clouds to create amazing rays and highlights on the distant peaks. Truly a 1:1 moment that I was extremely happy to capture. I chose black and white as I feel it highlights the things that were most amazing within this scene

Equinox gives an unbelievable Rhododendron Sunrise in the Appalachians. I spent 4 days on top of this mountain, shooting sunset and sunrise yet never really could get the composition I was looking for. So on the very last morning, I decided to get up at dawn and walk a half mile from my campsite without any specific scene in mind. Just before the sunrise, I found this patch of blooms and immediately knew it would give me the level of photo I was hoping for.

A quiet moment in the mountains when the light aligned perfectly across the ridges building the visual journey along the way. A single shot. Somewhere in Tasmania.

End the deafening silence on Gaza – it is time to speak up

Editorial: The total shutdown of aid has shown that the Israeli government’s bald aim is to starve and deprive the entire population of Gaza, combatant and civilian alike. Sir Keir must find his voice – and urge Donald Trump and all world leaders to call on Benjamin Netanyahu to end the aid blockade

Haven’t posted in a while here, but came back to share some Friday flashbacks from a recent backpacking trip in Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness of Western North Carolina
