Well, it's been released on facebook by my mother who loved it, so I feel ok releasing it here. My first #quilt It has SO MUCH wrong with it, but she loved it. I am working on my second now, and so much will change, but I do like the general idea of printing pictures of family on cloth, and sewing it together as a gift for someone you love. I think I have fallen in love with #quilting and am already working on my next more traditional design made of disappearing 4 squares.
Finished my first #quilt It's a simple lap blanket for my mother. It's all done wrong, the binding is horrible, the stitching is atrocious, and I've jammed my machine up more times than I can count. I am absolutely taking a quilting class before I do my next one. Still, despite all its imperfections, I'm happy to have finished it and look forward to giving it to my mother this weekend =)

#threegoodthings

1.) I found a calculator and realized I've had my med dosing wrong for 2 weeks. Not only does this mean I can fix it, but also I've managed to keep myself together for 2 weeks on 2/3 of the meds I was supposed to be on. Lifestyle habits are making a huge difference.

2.) I have been cooking a lot recently. I've got pot roasts and chicken mac and cheese going fairly well, and I just added some basic sushi to my slowly growing skillset. This is both saving me money, and helping me be healthier as I set my own portion sizes and I know what goes into my food.

3.) I finally got the death rattle fixed on my car (turned out to be in the steering system) and am picking it up tomorrow. Between this and the air/oil separator I'm putting in, I hope to get at least another 100,000 miles out of it, which will greatly support my getting out of debt.

I just got these two amazing pieces from @welshpixie who does fantastic work. Go check them out for #caligraphy illuminated lettering, and other cool #art
Learning things is fun as long as you don’t apply too much pressure. I got a bobbin wound but still have a way to go before I get this stuff right. Tomorrow will be a new day.

Amidst all the doom and gloom
And the collapse of late stage capitalism
The government in disarray
The poisoned sky and barren clay
The fall of leaves
And of empires

There remains beauty in small things
For those who are willing to see them
