Five years ago today, after listening to some negative discussion on @atpfm, someone on Twitter angrily predicted that “in 5 years, Tesla will have a marketcap at least 5 times larger than Apple.” I made a calendar event for this prediction, because I am petty. But now the account that posted it has deleted all its tweets, ruining the fun.
@atpfm I am fairly confident this will be right up your alley 😀 https://youtu.be/xE9W9Ghe4Jk?is=-GN8WKSaE9ur-WnZ

@atpfm I wish the new Studio Display would ship with a remote and could switch into Apple TV mode with a click, like Front Row back in the day. At least you then get a 5k TV on top.
@marcoarment could not agree more re “smart speakers”. My desktop speakers are bookshelf ones I bought off a friend used when I was a teenager. They must be 35y old. Work like a charm with a little Class D amp. I doubt any smart speaker bought today will live anywhere near that long.
@imyke haven't listened to Cortex in a while (no good reason, just not enough time). Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the recent interviews you did. You are a great interviewer and one could tell how comfortable and relaxedMarques and Alec were. Big thank you for these great and genuinely interesting episodes!
@marioguzman @gruber It gets worse. With Show scroll bars set to Always, the horizontal scroll bar in Finder blocks the column grabbers. What on earth is going on over there in Cupertino?
Am I the only one who is driven insane by the fact that Messages for macOS does not have a "Send" button in the UI? Maddening! I drag & drop a photo into a message thread and then have to hit the enter key to send. Who removed that send button and WHY??! #askatp

Strong pet peeve: Many websites (including GoDaddy) make terrible assumptions based on IP address location and render websites in the dominant foreign language of that region rather than look at the preferred language data given by the browser.

What’s worse is often when the ability to *switch* the language is effectively obfuscated by the foreign language itself, and a lack of iconography.

For example, GoDaddy has the switch at the very bottom of the page, here. I can read this but—
