It was honestly easier than anticipated. But then again the idea was brewing for years already and I thought I might not be feasable at all.
Right now the line height can be configured. But the spacing between elements can't. I'm guessing you would want that to apply to images/code/etc. as well? Feel free to open an issue with all the details.
Newsflash 5.0-beta1 is now available on the flathub beta channel. The big new change is the new article view that renders all of its content as native gtk widgets.
