Think of people around the world tonight who need Twitter to get their voices heard, to document human rights abuses and injustices, to get attention, expose war crimes, and more.

All of them could be about to be cut off because the world’s richest man wanted to own the libs.

I like the way mastodon adds a little constructive friction around alt text when you publish a photo. It’s a good reminder to make it the default practice!

Hello new followers! Very happy to see so many folks from twitter. I always assume people just follow me by accident, so thanks for (probably) following me on purpose! Will try to follow back over the coming days. 💚 I’ll still be on Twitter mostly, but there’s the obvious concern that the whole thing might go down.
