PDX DevOps meets the last Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm PT. Our talk topics range from incident response to automation to team processes, and we ask they be at least 20 minutes long. We have no tolerance for topics or slides promoting sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, fatphobia, etc.
And to be clear, though I validate the fear those folks have about lack of public safety and due to that just want the police as they were, they were also very much in the minority last night
Like I didnt toot the rest as I was just a wheel of emotions. However even for those who disagreed with me and wanted the 3rd precinct to be rebuilt, the bottom line from that meeting was that we all wanted to see change from the city that hasnt happened (even if we went about how to get there in different ways).
