Today's painting. Lots of room for improvement when I try this idea again tomorrow.

Today's painting.

I think I might use this little concept to paint somebody a birthday card.

What'll I paint tomorrow? Not sure!

I have an idea (it's flowers) but we'll see when I wake up and pick up the paintbrush.

And this one as well.
I think that one pairs well with this painting from earlier in the week.
Then this morning I decided to also try a different idea that I've been thinking about for nearly two weeks — the last tree to let go.

I was fixated on achieving a specific concept, which is harder than just trying an idea and improvising into something that looks ok.

I wanted the night landscape in blue to contrast with two earlier paintings from the week.

Little thread of art I made this week.

Painted this one this morning, after a bunch of failed attempts. Getting the smooth gradient of the sky right, and also getting the hills looking like that did not happen on the first three or four tries.

Today's painting.

Tried a more focused palette. Think I used too much water and the paint bled more than I intended. Onwards! Another one tomorrow!

Today's painting.

Might keep playing with this concept for a few more days, but the colours on this one are making me really happy.
