Shout out to the EFForg for the "How to fix the internet" podcast.
I don't remember the exact year but it may have been between 1994 and 1997 in Ottawa when I became a financial supporter.
This was during a short period where they were funding some initiatives by sending you stickers and a membership card if you donated.
I am pretty sure they destroyed all their records once they realized what a bad idea a paper trail could be.

This one was privilege to read. I work with the author. A wonderful person whose past work was recognized by the Parliamentary Poet Laureate and was featured as a parliamentary poem of the month. I really enjoyed the texture and emotion in this wonderfully illustrated book. You might have a hard time finding a copy of a hand made book unless you have a resourceful librarian.

Walters explanation and history of self control. He goes into current research too. Anyone with kids or self control issues would benefit from reading it too but be prepared for phrases like "The situational triggers of behavioural signatures and the relationship to cognitive development" because if you hold on through those you get quotes from guest appearances by some behavioural controls giants "Me want cookie! Me eat cookie!"
