Postbinary Genetic Sequences is a series of 13 computationally woven tapestries that challenge traditional biological and sociocultural frameworks through hand-woven tapestries made from the genetic data of various organisms. it sparks curiosity about the complexities of existence and promotes a nuanced understanding of life's intricacies through the interplay of genetic data, art, and activism.

Collaborative Practice with éli del
Bacterial membrane tattooed with sigils for metabolism and gut intuition. These genetically modified Symbiotic Cultures of yeast and bacteria form a zoogleal mat. Developed for a genetic engineering competition in 2019, it lacks tannin absorption and features genes for transparent cellular membranes. When dried, it has a leathery texture dusted with ceremonial ash to halt decomposition.

ARCHIVE: In 2018, the global population saw the death of 369 transgender people murdered for simply being transgender. 28 of these deaths were of people from the ages of 16-18. Beheaded, stoned, set ablaze, tortured, stabbed, and suffocated, these lives were seen as disposable by a large amount of their population. I caught 369 of my tears individually into microcentrifuge tubes 💧
