@valarauca1 btw i haven't forgotten about that static analysis rant/thinkpiece, i'm still gonna write something - i just want to be more productive than "grep is barely ``analysis``" and most more in-depth work is limited to academic papers

there's a nonzero aspect of it where grep is good enough for most real world use, but.. well, needs more thinkin' time

@valarauca1 uhhh... i've only used kafka as a message passing system. i guess you could use it as a relational database? it's pretty neat though, definitely heard of it used under high throughput
