Full Channel Rebrand has gone live <3

This channel is about going
* back to basics - 101 series and beginner-friendly explanations
* back to school - always learning someting new
* back to the future - exploring what's next in tech

Let's get back to engineering ;)

(also, I now no longer rely on people spelling my name correctly - which never happens haha)

Thank you for having me @pyconsweden!!

I'm now officially a #keynotespeaker, after getting to rant about all my thoughts and opinions for an hour!

We've talked about AI adoption and (mis)use as well as working and finding your space in such a divided tech field.

Hope this has resonated with a lot of you, and that we can all work together on bridging that gap between not-too-jaded technical "purists" and not-too-over-hyped enthusiast adopters!

@rem post screenshots! I’m always curious what people end up with when they DYI the stats!
My first #EuroPython went awesomeeee πŸ”₯πŸ₯Ή
Thank you to everyone who came up to me after the talk to say they loved it - it really means a lot to get some in-person feedback when our work is mostly online πŸ˜…
Love the Python community, always ❀️
Awesome first keynote from @savannah πŸ”₯
I love the authenticity around feeling unqualified, and pushing through that uncomfortable feeling to prove yourself wrong ❀️
Really inspiring way to open the conference; and I’m definitely going hunting for triage and documentation improvements to jump on after this, so thank you for the push!!

Hello again after a really long time mastodon πŸ‘‹
Kinda forgot about this community until I’m back at Europython getting energized to see what people are discussing and commenting on as we go πŸ˜…
What did I miss around here??

#europython #firsteuropython

A shard is a #lucene instance that runs on a node, that's part of a cluster, and is replicated for fault tolerance.

If that didn't make 100% sense - we now have a 10 minute video explaining
#elastic
infrastructure.

(it's basically a super efficient library with librarians on roller skates?)

Working on the next episodes in the #elasticsearch 101 series. I'll cover nodes / clusters / shards / indices and how data is stored and retrieved in #Elastic overall. If you have any questions or suggestions around these concepts I'd love to hear it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdLWRYn3C1k&t=354s

About to join #PythonDay from @wearedevelopers to talk about #Opentelemetry and #observability for #python 🐍

So far #JodieBurchell is talking about detecting hallucinations and lies in LLMs.

I love talks that approach the GPT-hype from a place of "sure there technically are some good uses but please stop throwing it at every problem ever" πŸ˜…

Thank you @PyLadiesAMS and #picnic for the really fun #opensourcesprint today!
Got to learn about different project styles and contributing.
And I also made a super-vital addition to #scikitlego πŸŽ‰: I fixed two broken redirect links in the docs. you’re welcome OS community πŸ˜‚
