i just keep pushing with codex to see if will ever come up with a solution.
i've turned up it's reasoning to "Extra High" and now it says it's going back to first principles and reading the docs.
i'm a software developer. primarily for macOS. primarily in Obj-C. primarily working on https://yourhead.com/stacks
but it hasn't always been that way. i used to write other software, in other languages. and before that i designed microchips.

after my wife got the flu for a week i was feeling pretty superior that i managed to stay well.
then my son caught it last thursday and barely left his bed until last night. still, at least i didn’t get it!
guess who had a fever today?
this guy joined me for dinner, hunting moths and lacewings outside the kitchen window.
even after i snapped the photo he stayed. he was there until i left the room.
pretty big. maybe 3 -3.5”.
is it friday yet?

I wanted to believe that this change was due to painful schedule, or lack of resources, or evolving specs.
But no. The design team is **proud** of this change. Enough to call attention to their work in the video.
This whole thing just makes me sad.
all the content at the top of the window overlaps the toolbar now. weird. i'm not doing anything special there.
the source list toolbars no longer line up. super fugly -- but that seems how Xcode 26 looks -- so… i guess roll with it???
so many controls are just barely visible. here's what default textfields on default sidebar background look like in dark mode.
it's barely legible and totally unrecognizable as a text field compare to the version in Sierra and… wow. not great.
